Terms of Service

Plain terms for a service that is still being built. Using this site means accepting them.

What the service does

You name a market or a topic. GapReveal researches it and writes a brief: one product opportunity, the reasoning and the evidence behind it, and product versions labelled by how novel each one is. Choosing a version writes a PRD, a roadmap and a UI concept for it as a separate step.

A run takes about two minutes and works on any topic you can name in plain words.

What the output is, and what it is not

The brief is generated research over publicly available material and licensed data. It is information, not professional advice — not legal, financial or investment advice — and it is not a recommendation to build or fund anything.

It can be wrong. Generated text can misread a source, miss something important, or state something with more confidence than the material deserves. Check anything you are about to act on, and treat the evidence behind a claim as the part worth reading.

We do not promise that a market described in a brief exists as described, or that a product built from one will succeed.

The product names in a brief are working labels made up for it. They are not checked against trademarks or existing products, and one can match a name already in use — clear a name yourself before you adopt it.

Your allowance

Ten runs a month and no more than three a day. The daily limit resets every day at 00:00 UTC, the monthly allowance on the first of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC. A run counts from the moment it starts, whether or not it finishes.

The allowance is counted per network connection, so people sharing one connection share one allowance.

Fair use

Do not automate requests against this site, do not try to work around the allowance or the limits, and do not use the service to research something illegal.

We may withdraw access if the service is used in a way that costs us money without producing anything — running the same topic in a loop, for instance.

Who owns what

What you type is yours. The brief and the plan documents produced from your topic are yours to use, including commercially — you do not need our permission and you owe us no credit.

The site, its design and the software behind it stay ours.

How we use runs

We use the runs started on this site to improve the service, including comparing them against each other to judge the quality of the research. This is why runs are stored, and the Privacy Policy says what is in them.

We do not publish your runs. The example briefs shown on this site are our own, started by us for that purpose.

What it costs

Nothing today. The service is in development and the allowance above is what everyone gets. If that changes, this page changes first.

Liability

The service is provided as it is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a decision you make on the basis of a brief, for lost profit, or for anything that follows from the service being unavailable or wrong.

Nothing here limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms; the date at the top changes with them, and continuing to use the site after that means accepting the new version.
